Suzuki key replacement in Northland
Lost your Suzuki keys, or want a spare before you do? We cut and program Suzuki keys on site, anywhere in Northland.
Swifts and Vitaras, plus a lot of imported Altos and Wagon Rs. Small cars, but the same immobiliser rules apply - a cut key alone will open the door and will not start the engine.
What we see on Suzuki keys
Swifts and Vitaras as family cars, and a good number of imported Altos, Wagon Rs and Jimnys. Small cars, but the immobiliser rules are exactly the same as on anything larger.
Models we are asked for most: Swift, Vitara, Jimny, Ignis, and imported Alto, Wagon R and Solio. If yours is not among them, ring anyway - the list is what comes up often, not a limit.
Worth knowing: A key cut for a Suzuki without programming will open the door and turn in the ignition and the car will not start. If somebody offers to cut one cheaply without mentioning programming, they are selling you half a key.
What we can do with a Suzuki
- Extract a broken key from the door or the ignition, and cut a replacement.
- Rekey the ignition or door locks where a key has been lost and you would rather it stopped working.
- Cut and program a spare while you still have a working key - much the cheapest way to do this.
Tell us if it is an import. A used Japanese or UK import can take a different key, a different blank and a different programming route from the New Zealand-new Suzuki wearing the same badge. Mentioning it on the phone is the difference between one visit and two.
Northland end to end, and we bring the workshop to the Suzuki rather than the other way round. Have the model, the year, whether it is an import and whether a working key still exists ready when you ring - the four things we always ask - along with photo ID and proof the vehicle is yours.
Other makes we cut and program
A Suzuki with a single key is worth sorting now rather than later - key cutting and spares covers it. Locked out, or need a transponder programmed? That is on the automotive locksmith page.

Questions
Suzuki keys - your questions
Can you make a Suzuki key if I have lost all of them?
In most cases yes, and at the vehicle rather than at a dealership. It is a bigger job than duplicating from an existing key, so it costs more - but it very rarely means a tow. Ring with the model and year and we will tell you honestly what is involved for your Suzuki.
Can you do it if I still have one working key?
Yes, and that is much the easier job - and much the cheaper one. If your car has only one key, having a spare cut now is the single best-value thing you can do for it.
